… then join us in 2026 to celebrate your silver diploma anniversary.

The beginnings:
In 2015, the silver diplomas were awarded to the graduates of the class of 1990 by the university president during a ceremony. A champagne reception followed. In the evening, alumni celebrated a summer party with a live band in the auditorium together with professors, students, family members, and friends of Clausthal University of Technology. The event was part of a series of events, including the university’s annual meeting, which was hosted by Faculty 3 and focused on a specific academic topic. 

On June 18, 2016, more than 70 graduates from the class of 1991 received their silver diplomas during a ceremony in the Aula Academica. Over 140 guests attended the event, which was conceived and organized by the Alumni Management Office. A varied supporting program and a party organized by the students at the StuZ rounded out the day. Registered alumni can find photos in the image gallery on the TU Clausthal Alumni Portal.

On June 10, 2017, some 150 guests from all over the world once again traveled to Clausthal to celebrate the silver diploma with the graduates of the class of 1992.

On June 9, 2018, the academic ceremony “25 Years of the Diploma!” was held in honor of 80 graduates and attended by just as many guests and friends of Clausthal University of Technology.

On June 15, 2019, the President of Clausthal University of Technology once again awarded silver diplomas to nearly 80 graduates. It was a wonderful celebration with over 160 guests from all over the world: Canada, South America, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, and from all over Germany.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Silver Diploma ceremonies for 2020 and 2021 had to be canceled. However, graduates from 1995 and 1996 were able to register for the 2022 ceremony and celebrate the event together with the class of 1997. It was once again a wonderful celebration with over 250 guests from Germany and abroad.

In 2024, the silver anniversary certificates were presented to the graduates of the class of 1999 on June 8, 2024, in the Aula Academica. The traditional pre-celebration gathering at Anno and the ceremony in the hot summer weather were once again very well received. The celebration during the university’s anniversary year marking its 250th anniversary in 2025 was also very successful and harmonious. Among the more than 100 participants were 50 alumni who had traveled from all over Germany and even from Saudi Arabia to show their connection to Clausthal University of Technology and to network. Since we do not have current contact information for all graduates from the class of 2001, we ask that you register early or express your interest so that we can send you a response or invitation in a timely manner. 

We ask that graduates who have already registered in previous years but were unfortunately unable to attend the corresponding ceremony due to illness or other reasons please re-register for the 2026 event using the form. Please register by May 21, 2026, if possible. Unfortunately, the anniversary certificates cannot be mailed.
